Happy Halloween

Grayson celebrated her first Halloween today. Our great neighbrors, the Bensons, came over for some pictures before the trick-or-treating began. Grayson enjoyed watching Nash, the blue monster, run around and play with Herbie. We then took Grayson on a short stroll around the neigborhood to say hi to some other neighbors. She quickly fell asleep and got a good nap in well we handed out candy. I might be partial but I thought she was the cutest pumpkin on the block!

4 months

On Sunday, Grayson turned 4 months old. The day ended up being full of firsts for our little lady. She had her first taste of rice cereal and she rolled from back to stomach (more than once!). Month four has been very different for us as I returned to work and Grayson has been spending her days with her Grandma's. (Both Grayson and the Grandma's sure have loved it though.) Grayson spends her days going on long walks, lots of mat time to work on her yoga and pilates poses ;-), reading, discovering the world in her new bouncer. As Grandpa John says, she is getting ready for the 5th grade next year! She is still a great night time sleeper only waking in the middle of the night about once every couple weeks. She loves to "stand" as we hold her upper body and she puts weight on her legs, and she sits up pretty well in the bumbo chair. She lights up our hearts with her infectious smile and laugh.

Go Frogs!

This weekend Grayson attended her first TCU football game. TCU was playing BYU on Friday night at Cowboy's Stadium. I have to admit I was a little nervous about taking her, but she really did awesome. She was awake for the tailgate, then took a short snooze in her stroller as we walked into the stadium and found our seats. We were really lucky that the stadium attendant in our area just let us keep her stroller at the top of the stairs (rather than having to check it). This allowed Grandma Kathy to take her on a walk when it was time for another nap. We were able to stay until the end of the game and cheer the Frogs onto victory!

Pumpkin Carving with Aunt Kristen

Grayson took part in her first Halloween tradition this past week. She helped Aunt Kristen, who was visiting from Michigan, carve a pumpkin. I wasn't home when they did it but they told me that Grayson just loved sitting on the table watching Kristen carve. Kristen did a special pumpkin in honor of G's first Halloween. She carved an owl sitting on a tree with the letter G growing out of it. Grayson's nursery theme is owls so it's perfect. It's a good thing that Kristen was here for the first Halloween because if mom had been carving, it would have most likely been a few triangles and a really horrible looking mouth. I am going to have to start stepping up my game now that I have a baby I guess! Enjoy the pics!

Baptism

This past weekend Grayson was baptized at Holy Family Catholic Church. Grayson's god-parents, Stacey and Jason, both travelled in from far away for the festivities. We are so lucky to have wonderful friends like them to help us raise our little angel. Both sets of Grayson's grandparents and her aunt kristen were also there for the big occasion. Grayson is so loved! After the very special mass, we had friends over to help us celebrate with a casual BBQ dinner. It was such a wonderful weekend!
